I’m pretty proud of myself. Aside from rent, I’ve only spent $2,000 so far this year. Rent made up 78% of my expenses this period. If I keep this up, my non-rent expenses will be around $10,000 this year. I can’t believe it — it doesn’t even feel like I’m skimping, so I’m not sure how I’m keeping costs down so much. Maybe it’s a combination of eating out less and buying less electronics stuff. Plus, I got a raise and my firm has promised big bonuses. I can’t wait until I move out in June and cut my rent by 75%!
I’ve been quite happy these past few weeks. Slowly making those important changes. They’re subtle, but life-changing.
